There are about a million different ways to cook chicken breasts, but I definitely think this method is the easiest. Baking chicken in the oven is mostly hands-off, so you’re free to do other things while your dinner cooks. Plus, if you line your sheet pan with parchment or foil, there’s next to no clean-up once you’re done.

The only problem with oven baking chicken breast is that if you’re not careful you can overcook it Instead of juicy, tender chicken, you will have dry, tasteless chicken, which no one wants. Follow my recipe, though, and you will be fine!

What You’ll Need for Oven Baked Chicken Breast

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts (Any Amount)
  • Olive Oil
  • Your Favorite Seasoning Mix
  • Salt and Pepper, to Taste
  • Sheet Pan
  • Aluminum Foil or Parchment Paper

Tips

  • You can use whatever seasoning mix you prefer for this recipe. My favorite is the Everyday Seasoning grinder from Trader Joe’s.
  • You can eat this chicken immediately or cook it ahead of time and use it throughout the week for leftovers or quick lunches. Cooked chicken will last in the refrigerator for 5 days.
  • The cooking time will depend on the size of your chicken breasts. Start checking the temperature of the thickest part of the breast after baking for 20 minutes and add time if the temperature has not yet reached 165°.
