Trader Joe’s Southwestern Chopped Salad is one of several salad mixes sold at TJ’s. Read on to see if you should grab a bag on your next trip.
I love a good salad mix, don’t you? There’s nothing easier than opening a bag, dumping everything in a bowl, and then digging in.
This salad mix does NOT disappoint! The salad itself is a mix of cabbage, romaine, carrots, radishes, green onions, and cilantro. The mix also comes with packages of cotija cheese, pepitas and tortilla strips, and an avocado dressing.

I don’t notice a cilantro flavor in the dressing, but there are definitely cilantro leaves in the salad mixture. If you’re a cilantro-hater, this salad is not for you.
My favorite way to have this salad is to top it with some taco meat. It is the perfect spicy accompaniment to the cool crunchiness of the salad.

This salad mix also contains milk and soy, so if those are problems for you, you should also avoid this product.
