Trader Joe’s Winter Wake Up Tea is a blend of black tea, cinnamon, orange peel, ginger, and clove. Read on to see if you should pick up a box!
I enjoy having a cup of tea in the afternoon as a little pick-me-up. Especially once it gets cold, it’s nice to have something hot to drink to help ward off that winter chill.
This tea is perfect for the winter months. The mix of spices are reminiscent of those used in everyone’s favorite holiday treats. They are well blended and none of them stand out more than the others. Cloves especially can take over, so I was happy that this tea didn’t taste too strongly of them.

The black tea in this blend does not come through at all. I mainly taste the spices that were added to it. So, it tastes more like a holiday spiced herbal tea than any sort of black tea.
Instructions for Winter Wake Up Tea
Each box of Winter Wake Up Tea contains 20 individually wrapped teabags. Brew one teabag in boiled water for 3 – 5 minutes. Add milk and/or sweetener if you want. The box also has a suggestion for making iced tea, but I did not test that so can’t say how it would taste.

Because this product is seasonal it will disappear from Trader Joe’s shelves quickly. Buy a box while you still can!
